Daniel Barotti29 days agoGood Neighbor Fence did a fantastic job for my house. Before Installation: I reached out to multiple fencing companies and these guys had the best pricing. They also were the most readily able to schedule soonest, for an August install date, which I understand is a busy time of the year for this type of work. During Installation: Once onsite, their team started and completed the roughly 220 ft of fence installation in a single day. The fence is sturdy, including with the portions drilled into the concrete of our driveway. I went with black aluminum, double picket fencing for the closer vertical bars to prevent small children and animals from squeezing through, while matching some black features and aluminum railing we already had on the exterior of our home. I'm very happy with the product. After Installation: The warehouse team delivered the extra panels associated with our order, which I assume were for redundancy in case of needing some more material during installation Also, the orange temporary fence shown in some of my photos is from a separate contractor I actually hired before reaching out to Good Neighbor. I just had a retaining wall built by a hardscaper that said they could also get the fence in. While I'm extremely happy with the retaining wall work the hardscaper has done, it goes to show how fast and effective Good Neighbor Fence is, since GNF started later, and finished earlier, at a lower cost. Aydian Woodard46 days agoFirst time homebuyer so I didn't know any companies and to be honest I am not sure how I found this company but I am glad I did. Trevor was my sales person and he came looked at everything looked at the picture and got me quote ASAP. I was upfront that I am quoting and he said they could price match which they did, he was pushy or trying to upsell anything. Pedro and his crew checked with me throughout the whole process and the fence turned out great, could not be happy. The owner is great and very accommodating, there were a few misunderstanding (my fault) during the build but it all came together perfect. They did a quick job on a large fence and only complaints I have is the gate dosent close well, they cam out and adjusted it once but it didn't really help. But gates are hard to get right I guess. Very friendly guy that have the estimates and really fair pricingPosted on Google

After having FIVE other fence companies come out for estimates, none of them even compared. The difference in professionalism, communication, honesty, and overall customer service was immediately obvious. Everyone we worked with was respectful, professional, and genuinely listened to what we wanted. Kyle respected our budget and never once tried pressure us into adding things we didn’t need, which we truly appreciated. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. We received our quote very quickly, and unlike other companies, we didn’t have to constantly chase people down for information or wonder when someone would show up. They were on time, dependable, and did exactly what they said they would do. One of the things I appreciated most was getting to hear the background story about Shane taking over the company and how much pride and care he puts into his work and his customers. You can genuinely tell he values honesty, integrity, and quality. I really respected hearing that he refuses to use products he cannot personally stand behind, and that every decision has to make sense not only for the company, but for the customer as well. He brought product samples, etc. and walked the property with me to help me further visualize the best fencing start and stopping points, etc. I also had opportunities to interact with owner Shane and I am very happy with the final quality product and service. There’s nothing like good customer service which can sometimes be more important than the job itself. I can speak to their customer service because we had a couple of unexpected occurrences, but upon reaching out to the sales person and owner, there were immediate responses and the situations were promptly rectified. Dutch Owens441 days agoI shopped around for a fence company and had several out (4) to measure my job. Good Neighbor Fence showed up when they said they would and gave me a competitive price. They also took the time to listen to what I wanted which is very important to me. Good Neighbor Fence scheduled my fence to go in on a Tuesday. Good Neighbor Fence called me on Saturday to let me know they had an earlier time slot and asked if I would like it. I agreed and they started my fence on that Monday. There was a 3-man crew that showed up and worked steadily through 3 of the hottest days of the season. When the job was done on the 3rd day there was no mess left behind anywhere in the yard. The dirt was raked out flat ready for seed. They installed the latching / Locking devices the way I wanted them installed. They also kept me informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend Good Neighbor Fence to anyone who is looking to have a fence repaired / replaced. By the way, Did I mention that my new white vinyl fence looks great!! Had an install date within a week of the estimate around the heavy rain that forecasted. Hauled the old fence away and completed work within a day. Molly Paige526 days agoI just moved to the area in April. I bought a home that had no fence but I have 3 EXTREMELY hyper dogs. I was under the impression, I can immediately get someone out there after closing to go ahead and give me a cost estimate for a quick fence so when I officially started my job, my dogs would have their very much needed access to a yard during my long work hours. But as I started searching with companies, they either over charged me an insane amount, or they told me there was nothing they could do for a few weeks. Which simply would not work. But then I got a call back from Cheryl! And she made the process seamless, talked me through everything, assured me of their quality and standards, told me they use high quality wood while also staying within the competitive market range. And the best part was they said they could be to me in a week. Meaning they would be able to set my fence up the very first day of my new job. Less than a week from our initial phonecall. Ensuring my dogs would only have to go one day without access outside. Good Neighbor Fence was easy to interact with on the front end, with Kyle and Cheryl being so professional and helpful. Still I was nervous, until I saw the actual work done. The first job was a backyard fence in Henrico County which was small but done well. Then we had a small paddock fenced at our farm. Efficient and quality work done. Clay Johnson667 days agoThe fence on our property was in sore need of replacement. Kyle came out and spent time walking through options and making sure we had all our questions answered. The quote was very competitive, and I felt good about the expertise and responsiveness of Good Neighbor Fence. They were able to schedule us quickly, and the crew showed up exactly when they said they would. They removed all the old fencing and did a nice job with the clean-up. We were impressed they took time to clear down to the ground before placing the new posts, so the posts were sunk the full amount into the ground versus through leaves and such. The fence was carefully built and the final product exceeded expectations. When we’ve had work done in the past (decks, landscaping, etc) from other groups, there are things after that we wish had been done differently. This was the first experience where we really felt good about the end result. With that said, I read a bunch of reviews from satisfied customers and planning to do it myself. I had an online shopping cart ready to check out, but out of curiosity I decided to get a quote from Good Neighbor Fence. BEST DECISION EVER! I sent an email through their website and was promptly contacted by a service rep. He gave me a quote over the phone and offered to come to my house to show me a sample of their products or alternatively I was welcome to stop at their warehouse. The service rep came out to our house on a Saturday and I was blown away by the quality of the products they offer! Their fencing system is top of the line and comes with an amazing warranty. Everything went smoothly from start to finish and I love love love my new privacy fence. Good Neighbor's customer service is top notch! The cost for this fence was far less than I was expecting - only a few hundred dollars more than my DIY project and I didn't have to do a thing! Cheryl was out first point of contact and she is fantastic! She is so personable and accommodating. Wyn came out and estimated the property and was able to give me exactly what we wanted. The crew that came out to our home were friendly, experts, and FAST. We had almost an acre of land fenced in and they did it in a few hours. We could not recommend Good Neighbor Fence highly enough! It took way too long to set up an appointment to view the damage to my fence and then to get the quote for repairs. It was very frustrating. From the initial quote to the completion of the installation Cheryl and the team from Good Neighbor were easy to work with and provided excellent value for the price I paid. The install team arrived within the specified window and got right to work confirming measurements. Once we dialed in the locations for my gates, they got to work digging by hand. The team had to dig by hand because I have wiring, a propane line, and irrigation running through my back yard. Regardless, the team delivered a perfect fence in a single day. First the price was reasonable and the people were respectful. I had an issue with one of my gates. The gate tilted up, just slightly. GNF, came and replaced that gate , immediately! Good Neighbor Fence not only had the most reasonable price but they went above and beyond to make sure we had EXACTLY what we wanted...This year we wanted to add on and extend the fence tripling the size...Good Fence once again gave us the Best Quote and the Installers spent 11 hours straight in 92 degree heat working all day to complete it...They made sure we were happy with the fence and went around the entire yard making sure there was no trash or obstacles in the yard...they made sure all the Landscaping was perfect and we were happy prior to leaving...We will look at no other company for this type of work...Hands down the most reasonable and experienced team. Peyton Craighill876 days agoWe recently (5-24) had Good Neighbor Fence replace an old split rail fence in our backyard with about 300-ft of powder-coated aluminum fence. The crew showed up right on time, quickly and cleanly removed the old fence, and then installed the new aluminum fence, all in one miserably hot day. They cleaned up well after themselves, and you’d now never know the old fence was once even there. It looks great. I couldn’t be happier, and my neighbors concur. While I chose them for their strong online reviews, it didn’t hurt that they came in slightly under another bid. All in all a great experience. Akeisha876 days agoI used Good Neighbor Fence to rebuild two double gates at a previous house several years ago and had a good experience. So when I considered doing repairs or a replacement of the fence at my current house, I reached out to them. Shane laid out the economics of doing a repair vs replacement (which was inline with my understanding and expectations) and provided the estimate quickly. After approving the quote, the work was scheduled within 2 weeks. The team of 3 men arrived promptly and did a walk through with me to understand what I wanted. They completed the removal and building of 275ft of fencing (including 2 single gates and 1 double gate) in 2 days. One of my neighbors has fig trees that reach over the fence and the team did an excellent job minimizing the impact to the trees, which was a major concern I had. Chantel Robinson884 days agoCheryl and Good Neighbor Fence truly were phenomenal. One of my posts gave and I needed to get it repaired. My fence was pretty old so while pricing the repair, I also was pricing a full replacement. Thumbtack is usually my go-to for contractor work so naturally I started there. After about 4 quotes that either felt a little expensive or were reasonable but attached to subpar customer service, I decided to check my local Facebook group for recommendations and I’m so glad I did. After reaching out, Cheryl called me back within a day and scheduled a time to come look at my fence and give me an estimate. She showed up when she said she would and on time. She was very knowledgeable and got me a quote back within a day or two. Much to my surprise, her quote was extremely competitive! My project was complicated by the fact that I needed my front rail replaced and also wanted it painted white and meanwhile Good Neighbor Fence wasn’t able to do it, Cheryl helped me with a creative solution that got the job done. I could not have been more pleased with the experience. The customer service was phenomenal at every turn. The fence came out great and I know who to call for any future fence and/or railing needs. Adam Gibson1225 days agoJust had Good Neighbor Fencing finish a couple of weeks ago and am very happy with the results! The main points of contact I had was Braden, their sales associate, and then the owner, Shane. They both were professional, responsive, kind, and helpful. Braden was timely with his follow-ups, giving me the time I requested to research and check all my options (as I think all fence buyers would), while also providing timely follow-ups to see how things are progressing and if there was anything he could help with. After the sales/quotes portion, we transitioned over to Shane who was extremely responsive, whether it was the weekend or a weekday, always on top of our project and knowing what the status would be, etc. he took the time to re-walk the property with us, discussing options, sharing his own opinions on where a gate would be nice, what areas of concern there might be, etc. I Really couldn't say anything bad about either of them and would highly recommend them and the company. While all parts of our experience with Good Neighbor was great (which is of course important), they also came with the best price vs comparable options. The main alternatives I looked at were Minors Fencing, Superior Fencing, Hurricane Fencing, and Hercules Fencing. All companies held similar reviews online, warranty offerings, etc so it was a solid comparison of apples to apples. Good Neighbor offered the best price and won my business. On installation day teams arrived on time and worked FAST. We had a very large area to cover and they completed the whole project within a couple of days. We even had a small issue where a piece of siding was damaged during the post digging process (no fault of anyone, just something that can happen when digging that close to a house!). The issue was resolved immediately, and someone arrived same-day to look at it and get the siding replaced.Posted on Google
