Enclosing a full 18-hole course is a big job. It took thousands of linear feet of fence, so we had to keep the work consistent across widely varied terrain. The line passes open fairways and wooded edges, and it handles changes in grade along the way. Still, our crew kept one continuous, properly tensioned line around the property. As a result, the fence marks the course boundary and helps manage access without interrupting play.
A Tall Black Chain Link Fence Along the Fairways
Along the open stretches, the fence stands well above head height. It has black posts, a black top rail and a second rail partway up that stiffens the tall fabric. The line follows the rise and fall of the mowed ground beside the fairway, so the bottom of the fence stays close to the grass. On the wooded side, it runs along the edge of the brush, where the black mesh all but disappears.

The black-coated finish was a deliberate choice for this setting. Unlike standard galvanized chain link, which reads as bright silver, a black chain link fence fades into the landscape.
