In a newer subdivision where homes sit close together, privacy is often the first thing owners want. Two-story houses stand on every side of this lot, so the full-height panels screen the yard from neighbors and the street. That leaves an enclosed space ready for a patio, a play area, pets or future landscaping. The owners can grow into it as the property matures.

When we installed the fence, the lot still showed its construction: mounded soil, a silt fence along one edge and a lawn that had barely taken hold. Freshly graded ground can settle, so posts on a new build need to be set with care. We set each post plumb, then ran the panels level and true along the long side run toward the street.
A Braced Walk Gate and a Double Gate
The new build vinyl privacy fence has a walk gate between the house and the fence line. It also has a wide double gate that opens onto a gravel pad beside the house. Both have diagonal braces and black hardware, and the double gate uses a drop rod to hold one leaf in place. That setup gives the owners everyday access on foot and a wide opening for mowers and wheelbarrows.
White Vinyl With Simple Upkeep
We used white vinyl fence materials because vinyl won’t rot and never needs staining, sealing or repainting. That makes sense for new owners who would rather enjoy the yard than spend weekends on fence care.
